A former training venue for elite athletes such as Daley Thompson, Fatima Whitbread, Denise Lewis and Sebastien Coe, White Hart Lane’s pedigree speaks for itself, but by 2010 it was time for the injection of new life and updated facilities.

The site is used by a diverse range of organisations, including: two local rugby teams; Haringey Weight Lifting Club; a Tennis Club;
and Spurs, who train on the all-weather pitches. Each stakeholder participated in consultation meetings to forge a unified vision despite sometimes having conflicting priorities. The customer relationship was very positive, demonstrated by the letters of support from several organisations which accompanied the planning application.

This project posed numerous challenges, from development within a
metropolitan open-plan designated area through to planning for and maintaining the regular day-to-day operation of the centre whilst the refurbishment took place, but it has been successfully delivered and is a real source of pride for our team.
